Canon Digital Rebel XT

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT with the following accessories. 

-Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II lens
-Canon EF 50mm f/1:1.8 II lens macro: 0.45m/1.5ft
-SanDisk 1 GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card (SDCFX3-1024-901) (recommendations)
-Quantaray 52mm filter close-up set (4+, 2+, 1+)

Canon PowerShot S100

I have a Canon PowerShot S100) that works fine, but it's only 2.1 megapixels, it's in dire need of a new battery (model NB-1L which costs $60 at the Ritz Camera near me) and the shutter speed is terrible. Otherwise, it's served me well since December 2000.

Bryce has a Canon PowerShot S2 IS. It seems really nice. He thinks he paid something like $475 at Best Buy with a 4-year service plan that cost $80. It costs $309 + shipping at Amazon.

The successor to Dave's camera is the Canon EOS 350D (better known as the Canon Digital Rebel XT) which costs $780 at Amazon.com. It looks like my friend John has one.
